Dear Michael,

at this point, we will be starting to have to switch off detectors that may otherwise be damaged, and, yes, we have reduced the beam current to 180 nA (we could otherwise run with 250-300 nA!) which is the absolute maximum we can take right now without getting into dangerous territory as far as detector occupancies and dead time are concerned. It looks to me that we won’t be able to collect anywhere close to the expected data if we can’t fix this issue.

Is Hall B limited in current by beam quality?  We are trying to understand whether your luminosity is limited by beam quality.
