Colleagues,

http://devweb.acc.jlab.org/CSUEApps/atlis/task/22302?load=Task&task_id=22302&allComments=yes

The procedure in this ATLis is detailed enough to use Tuesday for injector energy lock procedure development. Theo has made it possible for Ops to edit the BEM config file so the ATLis can be completed as written. Halls B and D will be changing targets. Halls A and C want opportunistic accesses for maintenance. So 0900-1300 will be made available. In parallel some quick upstairs RF recovery may be done, e.g. 2L02 recovery. This will preclude beam to Hall D dump for qsUtility measurements.

Colleagues,

Last Tuesday there was a discussion of the need for a procedure to ensure that the spectrometer energy and chicane energy lock agree and the latter remains fixed over the course of the run. Daniel distributed the link to a related ATLis task. I penciled in a four hour block 0900-1300 Tuesday to test a draft procedure. - if a draft procedure is in hand. If no procedure draft, beam delivery would continue to halls A and C. B and D are doing target changes. Yves has since told me he needs to be able to edit the BEM config file to be able to lock in the chicane setup. I emailed the Ops control group this morning asking for that permission. No response yet.

I see no reason to measure Hall D beam parameters now and again in January. Let's do it then.

If the draft injector procedure is available by COB Monday, the test can occur. Hall C will take an opportunistic access for maintenance. 2L02 can be brought back on line while the inline dump is locked in. Some other upstairs RF maintenance could also be done in parallel with the injector test.

PD Jay (not curmudgeon Jay)
