Ops went to the highest polarized current out of CEBAF yet on
Day Thu 2011-04-14,
>260 uA (>160 uA Hall C, >90 uA Hall A), and seemed
to run well that way until Hall C
vacuum problems and storm/power issues. Is injector stability
still an issue? It
seems that injector steering is still the most sensitive knob,
and that prebuncher
phase adjustments are falling out of favor. 0R04 trips seem to
be limiting; Clyde
and Jay have an ATLis 11084
to investigate injector RF loading at the high current.

Geoff notes that >300 uA was run out of the injector for 1d
"years and years ago".

There are some open questions in email about injector orbit
management between running
a single hall or both halls. See Jay's BTeam email for
details, particularly noting
a difference between Hall A/C beams at the BPM near A2. Joe
notes that mirror for
the parity violation experiment is disconnected (e.g. was A
for PREX, C for QWeak).
Matt notes a mystery: Hall A QE was reading mysteriously high
again (similar to an
incident where the table was hypothetically bumped months
ago), but was realigned
on Tuesday 2011-04-19 to realign relative to Halls B/C.

Arne: How do we know which is the golden injector zero rels?
(e.g. from Joe or Reza).
Guidance to operations depends on what makes sense according
to Joe, but usually this
is injector rels, which operations tries to avoid saving.
There still seems to be a
need/desire for golden injector zero rels.

Installed new BFM chassis on Hall C laser, started
reconfiguring Mott DAQ. Some bad electronics channels need
repair, so will want
~2h later for polarization measurements. Some after-effects
on Hall C laser
required removal of the BFM. This is the second BFM – made
really good beat
beam with low timing jitter, but also introduced
unacceptable noise on the laser.
Will have to pay end effects of installing BFM, measuring,
then removing again
until this problem is resolved. Joe has since repaired these
channels and might
be ready mid-day Thu 2011-04-21.
