setup</h2>
<ul>
<li>Has prepared low energy isochronous injector design optics
for BBU study<br>
</li>
<li>Present low-eta optics (in Art++ Feb 2011); 5 MeV=>6.3
MeV, 0L03/4, inj chicane, NL FODO, 6.3=>45 MeV<br>
<ul>
<li>Nice dispersion in chicane (down, up, down pattern)<br>
</li>
<li>Large contribution from end field focusing of cavity
gradients<br>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Low energy, 6.3=>16.8 MeV KE<br>
<ul>
<li>Had to rematch instead of scaling quadrupoles because of
low-energy RF cavity focusing<br>
</li>
<li>Set new matchpoint to old matchpoint at 0L07<br>

<li>Fits: 0L01 BDL 0, 0L02=-163.846, 0L02A=162.986,
0L03A=0 0L03=-90.518 0L04=0 0L05=-76.205<br>

<li>After that rematch one can basically scale down
quadrupoles from original model, same with chicane<br>
</li>
<li>Still matched at end to standard NL first pass (120
degree), matching done earlier than chicane<br>

symmetry) is needed for achromat, m56 fix, etc<br>

<li>Jay thinks we'll be around 1e-3 or more dp/p at low
energy, but emittance is lower<br>

about 3m, so this could be beam size of ~3mm (ouch);

to lower the dispersion (to 1m) in the chicane? (Arne

<li>Clyde: 0L03-3 had some issues over 2011-10-21 weekend,

<li>Ilkyoung made semi-periodic lattice for matching but not
quite perfectly matched<br>

beam size in middle of chicane<br>

<li>We need the proper model in elegant for MultiHarp+

space before/after), 3 sets with various skew settings<br>

<li>Some questions about upstream BPM phase space; perhaps
miscalibrated BPM or quad?<br>
</li>
<li>Also redid quarter cryo module measurements to confirm
previous measurements<br>
</li>
<li>Will return for more measurements Sat 2011-10-29<br>
</li>
</ul>

<li><span class="done">DONE</span> Tief worked on zigzag
emittance measurements Sun 2011-10-23<br>

<li>Checked on consistency with previous year's answers;
beam on center is stable<br>

<li>Calibration test: moved beam 4mm per BPM h/v and got
harp ~5mm systematic measurement (20% scale error?)<br>

<li>Did not do combined h/v measurements, only independently<br>

<li>Do believe that SEE BPMs are sub-square law in response
and so giving systematically low measurement<br>

<li>Chao had complained about ~15% scale errors in Fast
SEE BPMs before too; also have seen in RayTrace<br>
