People who need to work on the beam when the beam is actually in the machine - need the training. Need to make sure that communications are strongly established. Everything goes through the crew chief. The point of MAC training is to provide the Accelerator Scientists the opportunity to do their own work without having to go through Crew Chief. Crew chiefs make the final call on how staff will access the beam when necessary. Crew chiefs are in charge! B. Using SRL (Skills Requirement List) - for list of training thats needed. The actual courses are located on moodle (http://opsweb/moodle/). Moodle's password is separate from Ops. Your moodle password never changes. Get password from Noel Okay. Total course time is ~13 half hours and 2 one hours. It takes approximately one entire day to get through all training. After Arne's approval, Noel will send a descriptive email with user name/password/courses that need to be taken. To take the class the process is as follows: 1. Supervisor provides list to Arne. 2. Arne approves and gets list to Noel 3. Noel provides the login & password C. Absolute last day that training needs to be completed will be determined by the ARR Review. Everyone should look to have their MAC training completed by the middle of October. D. Action - Geoff send staff list to Okay today (Complete) II. Lattice file update (Roblin) A. Added M56=0 injector - Action - Yves write a tech note with his findings. Dennis is working on a the Elegant Download Tool (edt). E. Produced beam lines from injector to Hall D, F. Globally rematched and re-optimized linac beta function to ensure that the peak Betas are less than 300 m everywhere. HLA is meeting next Tuesday week. BTeam will look for updates on the software that upgrades that are being worked. III. CASA Application Talks Status (Spata) Reminder that the talks are a 4 part process (4 talks per topic) A. BTeam needs input for test plans that people want to do after turning on the machine. We need to make sure these test get integrated into the overall plan and on the schedule. Action - All. VI.
