I have had several responses to the CEBAF/Cryo email about the
schedule for transitioning to 6GeV. First, this decision has not
been made yet. My query was to make sure this is a viable
alternative in case we have to go that route. In the e-mail,
there is the following statement:

The SCN must be warmed up and decontaminated in order
to support any 2K operation. (emphasis added)

This means it will be days before CEBAF would be at 2K, if not a
week (my estimate, not Cryo's). Not only is there the warm up and
cool down of SCN there are U-tube operations and other heavy lifting
by Cryo. So we have time (about a week) to plan for this, if it is
the path taken.

I hope to have a path forward by the Wednesday 1:30 scheduling
meeting.

Presently the machine is in the restricted access state and the
control room is not staffed. Contact the crew chief on-call for
any MCC related business.

I appreciate the quick response to the 6GeV configuration question,
this is useful information going forward. So far I have not heard
of any show stoppers.

Peace and heres to better days ahead!
