Hi folks,

Please be aware that power will cycle on the 7th floor of the ARC
building on the morning of Fri Sep 9 (this coming Friday). It looks
likely that power will not be off long enough to drain uninterruptable
power supplies so computers on those may be okay, but it would probably
be prudent to power down ARC 7th floor computers at the end of the
day Thursday and turn them back on Friday daytime or whenever you
next need them. Cheers!

The facilities electrical team needs to continue the power verification regarding the electrical panels in the ARC.  To do this, electrical panel breakers need to be exercised and panel schedule information verified/updated. This will require turning off breakers to lab areas, offices, conference rooms, storage areas...i.e. and going to these areas and verifying the panel schedule information corresponds to the actual areas affected.  So the electricians will open doors to these areas to verify 
accuracy.  Please plan ahead and power down your equipment the night before the work is to occur in your affected area.


So as not to impact the day to day operations, work will start at 6 AM and conclude around 7:45 AM each day.
