Hi folks,
Carol McKisson (carolm at jlab.org) approached me about a summer
high school internship program associated with the Governor's
School -- from Carol:
I'm in search of mentors for the Summer Residential Governor's
School Mentorship in Engineering high school program for 4-weeks
beginning on June 24-July 19. I have 11 highly capable student
applicants to place with experience in coding, HTML, CAD, and
others.
Students are staying at the William & Mary dorms this summer
and are provided transportation to and from the lab. Their
hours on site are 9-4 daily for 4-weeks. At the end of the program
students are required to prepare a presentation of the work
they did during the internship. Students will receive support
for this presentation from Science Education.
I'll have applications to distribute to those interested in a
couple of days and will send all 11 applications.
More information about the school is here:

I have asked Carol:
- Are mentors expected to be on site full time for the
4 weeks of this program?
- Are mentors responsible for finding seating and computing
for the students?
Hopefully she'll respond to clarify those two items. I also forward
Carol's inquiry along to Tim Michalski and Zach Conway in case there
are possible Engineering division or EIC RF mentors.
Please reach out to Carol directly at the email shown above with
a CC: to me and Tristan if you are interested. Cheers!
-Todd
