Hello CASA Crew!
There is currently a plan (though nothing is ever definite or solid until the day of) to open the tunnel on Wednesday the 27th. The order of opening/closing hasn’t been decided yet, but our LDRD crew will be entering to take magnet measurements.
I’m currently hunting for volunteers to help us out on this single date. They plan on giving us 8 hours in the tunnel to take our measurements, 4 in each side of the machine. But the tunnel is very hot, and we need to properly plan breaks, meals, etc… Normally, our group is fine for the four hours, because we can exit at about lunch time and be done. However, with the 8 hour shift, we will need to rotate shifts a bit in order to finish in time. If any of you are interested and/or willing to help out, you’d need RadWorker 1, and ODH training. Tunnel training and ladder training would be a plus.
Please reach out if you’re at all interested. It’ll be a hot, physical day, but we tend to find it (mostly) fun.
Thank you all!
Ryan
