Colleagues,

There is an upcoming safety culture review at the lab on Tuesday and
Wednesday of this week by Longenecker and Associates (https://www.la-inc.com/).
Though CASA are not directly involved, we should all be aware of JLab's
approach to Integrated Safety Management that is attached. Please review
it and ask any questions you may have. We can also discuss at tomorrow's
9 AM CASA coffee meeting.

We should have an ISM reference card attached to our badge lanyards.
Tristan has updated copies of this card on her desk in the ARC if you
need to grab one. It is useful to reference from time to time since
we are all empowered as part of the lab safety culture to consider the
safety of our activities and call for a discussion about or stop of
any activity that we think could endanger people, the environment,
or lab equipment.

Yes, this goes all the way down to us documenting and making requests
of facilities when there are egress hazards (the trash cans catching
water from the leak near Andrew's office), temperature hazards when
the ARC AC has tripped off, and OSHA hazards keeping our office floors
clear of trip hazards.

I'm proud that we in CASA responsibly use ATLis and ePAS for our R&D
and LDRD activities that fall under these purviews. Thanks for all
that you do to keep yourself and your colleagues safe!

                                                 -Todd
