Dear all,
the software to generate inclusive electron events (based on Misak
calculation) and to estimate inclusive rates for given (theta, energy)
range is now on github.
We created a new repository in
https://github.com/pisanos/rates_calcom.git
Instructions on how to run the code are in the file:
https://github.com/pisanos/rates_calcom/blob/master/HowToGenerateLundInclusiveEvents.txt
It has been tested and ran on Linux machines (e.g. ifarm65), and only
requires root (5.34) installation. It has not yet been tested on root6.
To get it, type from JLab ifarm machines
git clone https://github.com/pisanos/rates_calcom
At the moment, instructions are limited to describing how to generate
inclusive electrons in the lund format and on how to estimate the
corresponding rates as a function of theta and energy. However, it also
contains parts devoted to hadron rate estimation that are still under
developement/finalization. We expect to update the software - with the
relative instructions - in the next weeks.
Please feel free to run it and test it. Any comment/suggestion will be more
than appreciated.
A new wiki page devoted to the ongoing work on rate estimatation has been
added to the main CalCom wiki and can be found here:
https://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/Analysis_of_electron_and_hadron_rates_for_CLAS12_calibration_and_commissioning
On that page, under "Documentation", you can find a link to a technical
note we are preparing, that contains a detailed description of the followed
procedure.
Please feel free to send us feedbacks, comments or suggestions, and do not
hesitate to contact us for any question.
Best regards,
silvia
