Hello All,
I suspect the difference is probably GEMC 5.1+ vs 5.0. I don't know if the changes currently present in 5.1 are well-documented, but I do know that we were 100% sure that 5.0 was 100% consistent with 4.4.2, and I made sure of that.

Hi Pierre,
thank you for those studies.
I was quite surprised to see such a big difference going from "GEMC 4.4.2 + Coatjava 6.5.6.2" to "GEMC 5.1.0 + Coatjava 8.1.0"
If I am not wrong, GEMC 5 has extensively validated wrt GEMC 4, maybe it has to do with the Coatjava version?
Is it possible to check, which one make such big difference?

Hi everyone,
Attached are the slides I was planning to show this morning.
I studied the particle efficiencies as a function of current for MC.
In a previous study, we saw a quite large discrepancy between efficiencies extracted from data and MC produced on OSG.
I redid this study with custom simulation ran on GEMC 4.4.2 and 5.1.0. It seems the latest leads to lower efficiencies, closer to the ones extracted from data. There is still some discrepancies however. I also noticed a large difference of proton efficiency in the CD between both settings.
Please let me know what you think and I am really keen on new ideas to proceed.
Cheers
Pierre

Hi all,
because of the ongoing "Jefferson Lab at 22 GeV" workshop, let's skip the meeting tomorrow,
however, if you have materials you want to share, please do so via e-mail.
