Dear All,
since the last update yesterday, we have been taking data at 50 nA with relatively short interruptions due to beam availability or minor issues on our side until 1:45 pm today when unfortunately there was a fast ramp-down of the solenoid. Engineering on-call and the magnet group responded quickly and recovery is already in progress. The cause seems to be LCW as in the previous events. Given the recovery time, we should be able to go back to production data taking during the swing shift and continue until tomorrow morning at 8 am, when beam will be terminated for the energy change.
At that time magnets will be ramped down. Detectors will be left on, unless different instructions will come from the expert. As previously announced, shifts are canceled from 8am on Monday to 4pm on Tuesday. Shifts starting after 4pm on Tuesday will be on standby, ready to be called in if needed.
Best regards,
Raffaella (RC)
