Thank you for agreeing to serve on the committee for the review of RG-A common data analysis for CLAS12 First Publication.  The primary goal of this review is to evaluate the quality, performance, appropriateness, and significance of the RG-A common analysis note leading to publications in prestigious refereed journals such as Physical Review Letters. This document outlines the common analysis procedures and the study of the systematic uncertainties towards the CLAS12 First Publication.

The CLAS12 First Publication is for two publications with measurements of the beam spin asymmetry of single hadron and di-hadrons in Semi-Inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering (SIDIS) related to CLAS12 experiments (E12-06-112, E12-06-112A, and E12-06-112B). These measurements for the First Publication make use only of the CLAS12 Forward Detector. At this first stage of the analysis, it has been focused on the inbending data set from the RGA-Fall2018.

Note: The first part of the document related to the calibration, detector performance and data quality checks has been reviewed and approved by a CLAS collaboration committee prior to the start of the data processing. This part is to provide the necessary background to the analysis towards physics.

The RG-A/SIDIS team is ready to address the committee questions or provide additional information as needed. For efficient coordination, any questions by the committee should be addressed to: latifa at jlab.org.
