Dear Latifa,

Thanks for considering the ABUs. Yes, a clear statement of how many days remain is important.

Regards, Stepan
P.S. Sorry for the late reply, I was at UVA all day for the uRWELL work.

Dear Stepan,

Thank you for your email. Indeed, it would be much clearer to stick to the ABUs and explicitly state the number of days remaining/requested, which does not appear in the current document. I will revise that section based on the RGA discussion we had in one of our recent meetings and update the document accordingly.

Best regards,

Latifa

Dear Latifa,

Thanks for putting the document together. I do not know how much it matters, but since we are using mC and not ABUs, I have questions about how these mC were calculated and what we will compare them with.

According to our pass2 good ran list, for example, that we use for cross-sectionn measurements, the Falll 18 has only 68 mC (not 99 mC,) and Spring 19 is 46 mC (not 60 mC).

Then, the MesonX’s approved beamline is not the largest. The TCS-J/psi experiment was approved for 100 days inbending and 20 days outbending for the full luminosity. Now, if we compare 126+99+60=285 mC with the 75 nA nominal current for 120 days (778 mC), it will be only 37%. So, we still need 63% to finish.

As I said, it may not matter, having 50% more running (60 PAC days) is fine with me. But I want to make sure we will have at least 60 morePAC days to run and that the numbers we quote are consistent with the approved time or the total luminosity of experiments.

Regards, stepan

Dear All,

Please note that there will be no CLAs12 First Experiment meeting this week or next. However, we have some important updates to share:

RGA-Jeopardy Document

  1. On Monday, April 8th, we submitted the RGA Jeopardy document for collaboration review. This document covers 6 physics topics. A special thanks to the physics topic coordinators for their hard work and to all contributors involved in producing the attached document. One thing that we didn't fully update is the author list. Please review it and provide feedback by Monday, April 19th to the corresponding topic coordinator:
     *   Overall: Latifa
     * Deep Exclusive processes (Latifa & Francois)
     *   SIDIS (Harut)
     *   J/psi & TCS (Rafo)
     * Hadron Structure (Ralf & Dan)
     * MesonX (Derek and Marco B)
     *   Very strange (Eugene)
  2. RGA Jeopardy document ready for submission by COB Monday, April 29th.
  3. The deadline for submission of proposals and updates is 9:00 a.m. EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024.
  4. The PAC52, will be held during the week of July 8 - 12, 2024.

Spring 2018 Data Calibrations Status:
We are still awaiting completion of the alignment procedure before starting with the calibration process. It is crucial that we attend PAC52 in July with a comprehensive understanding of the quality of this dataset. Our aim is to complete the alignment and initiate the calibration process by April 22nd at the latest.

Let me know if you have any comment or questions.

Best regards,

Latifa
