Dear Timothy,
when the pass2 cooking started I wrote this note describing how to
analyze the RICH PID results:
https://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/images/7/7d/RichAnalysisManual_2023-03-14.pdf
I can integrate this note or a shorter version in the common analysis
note.
As a starting point, there is no need to apply any particular fiducial
cut except for the usual DC cuts to select good tracks and a minimum
number of photons as it is described in the note.
All known problematic parts of the detector (like misalignments) are
taken into account through the status tables.
What the user should do is to optimize the cuts on the various PID
quality parameters provided by the particle identification algorithm,
but this strongly depends on the final state to be detected.
Marco
