[Clas12_first_exp] RGA Data Processing and Analysis Update – No CLAS12 First Experiment Meeting Today

Dear All,

There is no CLAS12 First Experiment meeting this morning. Below is an update on the status of RGA data processing and data analysis.

RGA Spring 2018 Data Processing Status:

  1.  Inbending 5-pass runs (4003–4325):
     *   100% completed; files are fully archived on tape.
  2.  Outbending 5-pass runs (3173–3293, 3863–3987):
     *   Both sets are currently being processed, with 39% and 48% of the workflow completed, respectively.
  3.  Inbending 5-pass runs (3306–3817):
     *   Next workflow to be launched (0% completed).
  4.  All 6 GeV runs (3031–3105, 3820–3861):
     *   Four small workflows remain; these will be launched after the final set of 10 GeV inbending runs is complete (0% completed)

Summary:
Out of 447 runs, 148 have been completed and are available for the collaboration to use in analysis — a 33% completion rate.
The first look at the RGA Spring 2018 data and comparing them to Fall 2018, show that the results are consistent and align with our expectations.

Common Analysis Tools for RGA Pass2:
Timothy is leading the effort to develop common analysis tools and common analysis note for RGA Pass2, covering both the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 datasets. With collaborative contributions from Sebastian, Richard, Pierre, Stefan, Sangbaek, Krishna, Mariana, Nick, and others, the team has completed cross-checks for some of the final tasks, including energy and momentum corrections for different particles and detectors.
A summary of this work will be presented at our upcoming meetings.

Next will be to develop and document common analysis tools for the spring2018 data set as well.
