Dear all,
Thank you Kondo for forwarding the email. As it is maybe the first time that most of you hear about the seminars, I wanted to bring some precisions.
The gaseous detector seminars are only remote. You may have received its annoucement via CERN Detector R&D (DRD1) as we are organizing them together.
The seminars intend to propose to the community of gaseous detector experts and users a place to hear about or present in depth details about gaseous detectors.
It's a very friendly and caring atmosphere. It's always a good place to discuss.
The presentation can be about 40-50 minutes or shorter and then we keep time for questions.
This length allows to review all the steps of a project or take time to present details that can not be shown during a shorter presentation.

A gaseous detector seminar is planned for Wednesday 5th at 3 pm (East Coast time). A part of it will be focusing on AI and its use in our field.
Torri Jeske from Jefferson Lab, who works on implementing AI into several aspects of particle accelerators, including detectors.
Torri will speak about the development and implementation of the high voltage control system for the GlueX Central Drift Chamber.
By building upon traditional operation and calibration methods, the system dynamically adjusts the high voltage to stabilize the chamber gain throughout data taking.
Consistent gain is ensured throughout the experiment without degrading the timing resolution or PID.
