Dear all,
I'll be traveling all day tomorrow, so I was thinking to cancel the RGB
meeting for this week. However, if any of you has pressing issues to
discuss that cannot be dealt with via email, and wants to host the
meeting, please get in touch with me and I'll give you the BJ infos to
start the meeting.
Here are the latest updates:
- Update on calibrations:
After Stepan's vertex positions were included in CCDB, and reference runs
were recooked, Dan checked the RF-FTOF time differences, and they appear
compatible, at the couple-of-ps level, with those obtained with the
previous release not including the vertex corrections. Therefore, it was
agreed that there is no need for a new calibration of FTOF (and of the
other time-based detectors).
RICH time-offset calibrations were performed.
A bug in CCDB for LTCC was fixed.
- Update on cooking:
Since calibrations are done, right now a 10 files/run pass is ongoing, it
should be completed within a day or two. The goal is to redo timelines to
check the stability of all calibrations. And if all is good, we can move
to production cooking of a good fraction of the dataset (to be determined
based upon disk-space and farm availability). This should provide good
material for the DNP talks.
- Update on LTCC:
Zhiwen is also cooking some full runs for Harut who needs to check LTCC
efficiency, in order to decide whether or not we'll decide to have sectors
2 and 6 of LTCC installed for the upcoming fall/winter RGB run. I have
obtained a couple of weeks of time from Bob Miller to decide on this
issue, and Harut will produce plots to help us making this decision.
No updates so far on the schedule, I'll start annoying you all with the RC
shift schedule as soon as the dates will be official :-)
Best regards,
Silvia
