[Clas12_rgb] Harp Wire Run

Efrain,

Attached is the distribution of the z-vertex of tracks in CLAS12 FD (DC tracks) REC::PARTICLE bank. I can see a peak (bump) 3.2 meters upstream. This is I believe where cryostat is, but I am not sure. I asked Cyril to give me a drawing or the distance from the Harp to the target.

The other two “peaks” from the cryo target cell and the scattering chamber downstream window.

Regards, Stepan

Hi Stepan,

Just to follow up, I spoke with Nathan and I was looking at the REC::Particle bank, which has more requirements that might kill our tracks from harp.

I’m looking at REC::Track bank, which IF we have tracks from harp, Nathan said they will be in there.

I’ll send update as soon as I have that,

Hi Stepan,

Attached here.

I spoke with Veronique and she mentioned there is likely a cut in eventbuilder that requires physical target location.

I’m waiting for when Nathan is free to confirm this,

Hi Efrain,

Thanks for sending this info.

Can you plot vertex distribution starting from -7000 to 1000 (your x-axis) and have y-axis in log scale.

Hi Stepan,

The file for the harp wire run is at:
     /volatile/clas12/hauenst/jaw-0.8/hipo_6345_round1-all.hipo

There are 3 cooked splits inside this one hipo file.

I took a look at the distribution you suggested – electron vertex – and after cooking, I don’t see anything that corresponds to tracks coming from the harp wire, which I would expect ~meters from actual target.

I would think that the reconstruction cooking has some broad cuts on reasonable vertex position allowed. I’ll talk to Nathan or Veronique about this.
