Thanks for getting this going. A few small suggestions:
Bob’s letter emphasized discussing changes to the physics motivation of the experiment since the original PAC approval. I think we should have a section on that, or find a way to incorporate it into the beam time request. e.g. for us the 2019 CLAS Nature paper on the EMC effect and Efrain’s followup 2020 PRL both significantly boost the need for the BAND measurement. I’m sure the need for the other measurements have also gone up in the time since approval. Once you decide how to incorporate something like that we can get you a couple of paragraphs and a figure for it (I assume more than that would be too much).
In section II I would explicitly state that the both CND and BAND are large (& very expensive) detectors that were built especially for this experiment, assuming a beam time of 90-days and using external funds. Its not crazy to say that these detectors might not have been funded “only” for the amount of data we have now and so if we don’t get additional beam time for high-impact results it could affect future attempts to fund such new detectors. Need to think about how to word this appropriately.
Figures in section III-A, I would make the table bigger. The pie charts is nice but the quantitative information is given in the tables.
