Dear all,
please find here below the email that Marco Battaglieri just sent to the
CCC and the report on our Pass2 review of last Wednesday.
Pass2, here we come :-)
Many thanks, once again, to all of you that worked towards this important
milestone for our RG.
Best regards,
Silvia

Dear Will,
here in attachment the report of RG-B Fall 2019/ Winter 2020 pass-2 data
cooking review.
Bottom line is that the review committee encourages the CCC to give the
green light for RG-B pass-2 data cooking
after consideration of some recommendations.
Do not hesitate to contact me in case anything is unclear or you need
more details/explanations.
I'd like to thank Silvia (as well as the whole RG-B crew) for their
thorough presentation of the job done.
During the review we had a thorough a discussion about the need of
comparing PASS2 to PASS1 results, in particular the ones that are about
to be published .
As a collaboration, we shall be very careful in releasing results based
on pass1Â that may be contradicted by the more reliable and precise
PASS2 results.
An adequate estimate of the systematic error, especially for pass1-based
results should be done to avoid to arbitrarily increase systematics on
pass2 results to seek backward compatibility.
This is clearly not limited to RGB but affect all RGs undergoing to
pass2 and trequires feedback from the whole Collaboration.
For the next reviews it would be good to update the charge with some
mention to that, after that the Collaboration will define the best strategy.
Cheers
Marco
