Dear Lucilla
For your information..
RGK has not started the calibration process so we cannot validate the release. However I wanted to keep you updated
All the best
Annalisa

> As discussed in recent meetings, two new releases have been tagged to perform the final tests on the CVT package implementing the new track finding.
>
> These two releases,
> - 8.4.0: standard CVT
> - 8c.4.0: new CVT track finding (with a threshold on the track helix radius equivalent to ~180 MeV and a z cut at 10mm from the target cell),
> are identical except for the CVT code. Compared to the previous test releases, these include a number of updates (see the release notes at https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_JeffersonLab_clas12-2Doffline-2Dsoftware_releases_tag_8.4.0&d=DwIFaQ&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=t2OnxVoP8YJyzuxpHKwj1tmrMj6s1mZ4pgV16sZJZb8&m=KTkBF_5GJluGx_Px0XdzxrLlqzvBKKKPId70VUo3F5atj0J0IP5xCd21cwsol4AY&s=_jxrbHi2ZZNylYzIacGF9nKlI3Mb38NZKNGjNSLJYBE&e= ) that exhaust all that is planned for pass2. The only exceptions are the transformation of the DC covariance matrix to the lab, which is being worked on, and the new RICH package, which may be included if ready.

> Both releases are installed and ready to be used. For the data sets that have already been calibrated, it would be useful to process let’s say 5-10 runs with both releases and distribute them to your run group to be analyzed as a final validation. For this processing, the suggestion is to run with default settings for CVT (i.e. the cuts mentioned above). In parallel, we will rerun the simulations that were performed with the previous tags, testing also the effect of a larger vz cut, which can be better studied in MC.
