Dear Latifa,

thank you for your suggestions.

1.I will keep the physics part in the first 5-7 minutes.

2. Requirements from the physics to the experimental set-up are:

- Q2 vs W coverage (13-15)

- good energy resolution to separate K Lambda and K Sigma
Channels (slides 18-19)

- reasonable acceptance to accumulate enough statistics in the
widest phase space possible (slides 20 and 23)

3. Experimental set-up: slides 10 - 12, 21.

4. Simulation so far: slides 15, 19, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26

5. Simulation to be completed: detached vertex reconstruction
(software tools are not available yet to complete the task)
We are trying to analyze results from 6.4 GeV and 10 GeV runs.

6. Computer requirements: slide 28

7. Manpower: I have explicitly added the task leaders and Lucilla's
name. PhD students are to be assigned. The analysis coordinator has
not been discussed yet. It is likely one of the spokespersons.

8. Expected physics: 11 M KY events

We will likely be available each time electron beam energy in CLAS
will not be at the maximum.

I hope

Dear Annalisa,

I agree with the comments make by Dan. This is not about the
physics this is about our preparation and readiness for taking
the data this fall. From running the experiment to data
calibration to extracting physics. Here are my suggestions:

One slide on the physics

Requirement from from physics

Experimental setup and running conditions magnetic
fields/triggers

Simulation so far

Simulations to be completed by the run

Computing requirement

The team and organization by names for experiment running
coordination, calibration and data analysis

PhD students and post-docs on the projects

What should we expect as physics from the fall run

The future data taking our requirement/request for data
taking towards RGK completion

Others

Annalisa,

Just a couple of comments on your slides:

1). You have only 25 minutes for your
presentation. Therefore you do not want to take up

too much time on presenting the physics
motivation/topics. At present I think that you

have perhaps too much material here to
comfortably get through.

2). The plan in my mind for the electron triggers
is:

i). electron in ECAL

ii). electron in FT + two hadrons anywhere
in CLAS12

3). The acceptance for any KY topology that
requires detection of the pi- is too small (<1%)

to be practical for any analysis. For the KY
final states we will have to rely on e’K+ and

e’K+p only.

4). For the most part the RG-A calibration team
will be handling the calibrations for RG-K.

This should be mentioned as a part of our
manpower. We need to name an official

analysis coordinator and chef for RG-K. That
has not yet been discussed in our group.

Regards,
