<div class="" style="word-wrap:break-word; line-break:after-white-space">Folks,
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Tomorrow there will be a meeting of the different Run Groups to discuss the pass-2 software, with particular</div>
<div class="">focus on the CVT tracking part of the reconstruction. The purpose of this meeting (8 a.m. as announced by Latifa)</div>
<div class="">is to identify issues in the current pass-2 reconstruction code compared to the pass-1 reconstruction code, and </div>
<div class="">to study the different CVT tracking optimization parameters. The main goal of this meeting is to gain consensus</div>
<div class="">on a single version of the pass-2 reconstruction code to be used for the upcoming cooking of all datasets.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">I have been doing some studies over the past few days based on K+Lambda Monte Carlo for RG-K. I have put together</div>
<div class="">a collection of plots (pass2v2-ky-mc.pdf) of the things that I have been looking at to study the code versions to begin</div>
<div class="">to make some conclusions. The figure captions hopefully are informative enough for you to gain a bit of insight. A much </div>
<div class="">reduced set of plots (rgk-pass2-mc-comp.pdf) is also included with my main conclusions for the RG-K Monte Carlo studies </div>
<div class="">so far. </div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Keep in mind that all of this work is very recent and there are a number of things that I am still working to understand</div>
<div class="">in the different versions of the reconstruction code. So these studies are definitely a work in progress. However, before </div>
<div class="">I show them at the full Run Group meeting tomorrow, I wanted to send them around at least a little beforehand.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Regards,</div>
<div class="">Daniel</div>
