Dear Yuri, dear All,

on behalf of RG-K we can certainly schedule a test of the SAMPA
chip readout electronics during RG-K but we would rather do it at
the end of RG-K, reserving for you the time you need for the
electronic read-out swap and the test.

We do not like the idea of changing the MVT electronics twice
during the run, because we always risk a modification of the
set-up which would require a dedicated alignment, calibration
epochs, possible cable swaps etc.

The swap back to the DREAM read-out could be done during the
change to RG-E.

Would this work for you?

All the best

Annalisa

Dear Annalisa,

We would like to ask you about the possibility
to schedule beam test of SAMPA chip readout of the MVT
detectors during RGK. The test is fast and can be done in a
short time (Sergey can provide an estimate) but there is an
overhead related to removal of the beam pipe to move the CVT
cart upstream for a few feet to change cabling, then the same
procedure after the test to connect back to the DREAM readout.
For Sergey the preferred time would be before re-start
operations in January as installation of the SAMPA readout
could be done during the break w/o wasting beam time. Please
let us know. Thank you
