Hello,

This is an update on the status of RICH components. Please let us know
if there are any corrections or anything to add.

There have been six total spherical mirrors delivered and stored in the
EEL 121b cleanroom. Four (C2, C3, C4, C5) were measured using a CMM.
Mirror side lengths and thicknesses have been analyzed using the CMM
data by INFN and DSG. Two more spherical mirrors were delivered on July
15, 2016.A final shipment of four mirrors is expected to be delivered by
the end of July. After shipment, there is one month to determine if they
meet the desired specs and accept the mirror.Mirrors C2, C3, C4, and C5
have been accepted. The two mirrors currently at JLAB and the four
expected will be measured by CMM using a procedure developed to allow
better analysis of these mirrors. The spot tests using the light source,
CDD camera, and mounting system will be performed for all mirrors. All
mirrors will need to be shipped for their final reflective coating.

Twenty aerogel tiles were delivered to JLAB and visually inspected. Six
more tiles were expected in June and eight partial tiles are expected in
July.Tiles are stored in dry boxes in EEL 12lb cleanroom’s gowning
area.Tiles have been taken to CUA in Washington, DC by INFN for testing.

Pre-production electronic boards are expected by the end of July and
will be tested at JLAB. Production boards are expected to be shipped by
end of summer 2016 after pre-production board acceptance.Assembly of
electronics can begin once electronics arrive.Electronics will be
assembled in EEL 124 or EEL 121b, depending on space availability.

Forward Carriage Level 3 has been approved for the location of air
cooling system compressors, tank, and valve panel (see email on June 24,
2016).Forward Carriage Level 2 is expected to be the location for the
power supplies and electronic components for the detector.

The assembly structure and other structural components are expected to
arrive at JLAB in September.Bolting the assembly structure to the floor
for anchoring in both EEL 124 cleanroom and Hall B has been approved
(see Bob’s email on July 15, 2016).It is being confirmed that space in
EEL 124 will be free for assembly (see Walt’s email on July 14,
2016).Assembly will start in October or as soon as space is available in
EEL 124.

PRs have been submitted for all interlock system components and buyers
have been assigned.PRs for air cooling and nitrogen purge systems have
been submitted.A quote for the air cooling system pressure transducer is
still needed and its PR will be submitted as soon as the quote is received.

Considering the above status, there are the following questions:

1.What are the names for the two mirrors received on July 15?

2.When should CMM measurements be arranged?

3.As discussed in DSG-INFN meetings last week, has a procedure for what
CMM measurements to be taken been developed?

4.Will the spot tests with the light source and CCD camera for Mirrors
C2, C3, C4, and C5 be repeated with the mirror mount?

5.When will light source and CCD camera return to JLAB for spot tests of
mirrors received?

6.When will the mirrors be shipped for their final coating?

7.Did the aerogel shipment expected in June arrive at JLAB?

8.What were the results of the aerogel testing at CUA in Washington, DC?

9.When is the next shipment of aerogel expected?

10.Has Forward Carriage Level 2 been approved as the definite location
for the electronics racks in the Hall?

11.Has the bolt size been determined for the assembly structure mounting?

12.Where will the pre-production electronics be tested?

Best regards,

Tyler
