[Clas12_rich] RICH electronics- summary of space needed

Dear Eugene,

RICH1 goes to the sector 4, on the right side looking along the beam (see attached picture)

The low voltage patch panel is the one on the bottom

The optical fiber/HV patch panel is the one on the top

It would be great to have a rough estimation of the maximum distance (LMAX) between the RICH1 crates and the RICH1 patch panels (both panels).

About number of cables between rack and patch panels we have 138 RG58 for HV and 3 MTP-Trunks for the Optical fibers already defined, the number of LV cables will be between 25 and 35.

This LV cables multiplicity depends on the optimization of the coupling between the CAEN2518 board and the RICH electronics (still in progress) and on the above lenght LMAX.

Thanks,

Matteo

>> As I understand HV an LV cables are split evenly between the two panels but fibers go to only one. They go to the right side if I look along the beam. If RICH1 goes to sector 4 this panel will be on the bottom. Correct?
