Dear Valery,
Amanda, Pablo, and I have completed the visual inspection of the ten aerogel tiles that were delivered today, May 19. The tiles have been placed in the right dry box in the gowning room of EEL 121b.
We have created a spreadsheet of the tiles that is attached above. We had trouble reading the labels so each tile is designated by the numerical characters we could recognize and a dash for the characters we could not (for example tile 1 is 403-22). The spreadsheet has this designation, a description of any issues we saw on the tile, and any comments we had about the tile. One thing we did notice, almost all tiles had at least a few chips on the edges and corners of the tiles. We did not see any bubble or anything inside any tile.
We have also included pictures of each tile. For each tile there is one picture of the tile inside both bags with the label shown, one picture of the tile in only the inner bag as you requested, and then additional annotated pictures of any big chips or issues. It is difficult to see the faults in the additional pictures because of the aerogel's transparency so we added labels and circled the faults in these pictures.
Best regards,
Tyler
