Under the section called Mirror Testing and Assembly, what type of point source are you planning to use for the spot size measurement test for the mirrors? Please let us know what type of point source it is and its power and frequency, because one: laser training would be required, and two: depending on the power of the source, interlocks would be needed.

In addition, please let us know the procedures for the testing of the mirrors and characterization of the aerogel. A detailed procedure will be helpful in creating the proper safety documentation (B-List) required for the tests.

Under the section Electronic Installation, it is mentioned that you require a compressed, clean, and dry air generator with a capacity on the order of 500 l/min for the cooling tests. If these cooling tests are to be performed in EEL room 121, the small clean room, we will not be able to put the air generator in the room due to the air generator’s size, the amount of noise it would make, and the amount of heat that it would generate. However, we will be able to provide a fan that should be able to provide enough forced air cooling for the tests. The air generator will be available for when the detector moves to EEL room 124, the big clean room, for assembly.

We have begun compiling a list of the parts to be delivered for the RICH. I have attached a spreadsheet of all RICH parts, the total number of each part, how many of each part have already been delivered, and where the delivered parts are being stored. We have not been able to fully fill out the spreadsheet due to some inconsistencies in the documentation on the wiki. Please fill out anything you are able to that is empty and send the filled out spreadsheet back.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best Regards,
Tyler
<RICH Parts List.xlsx>
