independent of what marcos and valery undertake, i'm sure they have
a plan, i suggest that perhaps you could plot the differences (right
edge top - right edge bottom , etc., etc. estimate the std dev, and
highlight the outliers) in mathematica. this would provide a
numerical estimate of the thickness. <br>
also, perhaps you could also do a surface plot and look at the
radius of curvature.<br>

I took the step files Jim sent this afternoon and opened them in Siemens NX 9.0 and noticed the Mirror Surface and Back Surface data points were hard to see with the data points for the edge measurements.
I have colored the Mirror Surface data points green and Back Surface data points red to make them easier to see. There are .jpgs of each mirror and also part files (part files are the files that NX 9.0 will open). Please let me know if the part files do not open correctly, I can save them as step files and resend them.
One thing I have noted in the step files that Jim sent from Survey Group's measurements is that the 3C mirror seems to be missing an side of the edge measurements. I will check the original files from Jim to make sure no data points were accidentally deleted.
