[Clas12_sidis_working_group] Minutes for the JHE-SIDIS meeting on May 19

Hi, All,

Below is the minutes for the meeting on May 19 to discuss and prepare 
for the SIDIS part of 3d structure with JLab 20+GeV workshop

Participants:
Harut Avakian, Jian-ping Chen, Dave Gaskell, Patrizia Rossi, Nobuo Sato

A) Harut stated that projections done by Alexei Prokudin et al. based on 
statistical errors, using a parameterization does not give credit to 
"multidimensional binning" and "extending the kinematical coverage" as 
by the nature of the parameterization they will generate small projected 
error in the full kinematics.
JP suggested that this can be discussed with Alexei present. Alexei is 
very much interested in our discussions, but meeting time does not work 
for him. We could schedule one at a different time to allow Alexei be 
present.
Dave asked Harut what are the issues.
Harut showed one projection of both EIC and SoLID projected data 
(A_Collins?) and with another plot showing extracted transversity with 
uncertainty band.
Harut showed a list of things should be done as proper projections.
Harut asked question how SoLID did the projections. JP answered that the 
SoLID simulations did include unpolarized cross sections and the three 
(Collins, Sivers and Pretzelosity terms, which are based on assumptions 
or models). Harut had more questions and some discussions followed.

B) At the end of meeting, Nobuo gave a quick report on progress. He is 
working with Harut on the CLAS12 24 GeV projected data. Harut worried 
about pions coming from vector mason, Nobuo stated that we should not be 
concerned about the origin of the pions. Nobuo Will give a detailed 
report next meeting.

Next meeting will be in two weeks (June 2).
