*Abstract*: Transverse-Momentum Distributions describe the arrangement 
of quarks and gluons inside hadrons in 3-dimensional momentum space. I 
will review our present knowledge of TMDs, examine the open challenges 
currently affecting their phenomenological study, and discuss some 
examples of how TMDs are connected with other topics in hadronic physics 
and beyond.
