Hi Jerry,
Java home should point to the jsdk 1.6 and above directory. You need also to set SOT_HOME pointing the sot distribution directory and CLARA_SERVICES pointing to some location that SOT will copy services. Try and let me know if any problem. But take into account that at the moment central tracking is not in the service chain.

Vardan

Subject: [Clas12_software] What is JAVA_HOME supposed to be on fedora 16?
Hi Folks,
I am trying to get SOT running on my Fedora 16 laptop. I've got clara
up and running, but when I try to compile SOT with ant I get the
following.
----
gpgl:SOT> ant
Buildfile: /home/gilfoyle/research/sot/SOT/build.xml
init:
clean.module.sot:
clean:
compile.module.sot.production:
[mkdir] Created dir: /home/gilfoyle/research/sot/SOT/out/production/SOT
[javac] /home/gilfoyle/research/sot/SOT/build.xml:157: warning:
'includeantruntime' was not set, defaulting to
build.sysclasspath=last; set to false for repeatable builds
[javac] Compiling 107 source files to
/home/gilfoyle/research/sot/SOT/out/production/SOT
BUILD FAILED
/home/gilfoyle/research/sot/SOT/build.xml:157:
/home/gilfoyle/research/sot/SOT/${env.JAVA_HOME} does not exist.
Total time: 0 seconds
---------
I interpret the reason for the build failing is because I have not
properly set JAVA_HOME. Java is installed on my machine, but I can't
find what JAVA_HOME is supposed to point to?
Thanks-in-advance,
jerry
