[Clas12_software] jar managment

OK, I am simply *not* doing throw-away work again. If we are going to have
a different system that is OK with me but *can this group make a decision*?
I'm fine if we use Gradle. But: Who will deploy it? Who will maintain it?
Who will ramp up the collaboration on a new tool? Actually I don't care
about the answers to those questions--*I just care about us making a
decision*. I have other things to do other than working on jar management
if we are going to use a different system.
