Here are the minutes of today's meeting:

COMMON TOOLS PROGRESS:
Gagik reported that the i/o libraries, the simulation bank definitions
and the geometry package implementation were all complete.
He has started work on the histogramming package which will have
an interface to Dave H.'s s-plot (SPLOT?) package and to ROOT.

VALIDATION SUITE:
We discussed a standard suite of plots and averages which could
allow a quick comparison of peformance for different code versions.
I pointed out that any such suite should have a header file
which documented the version of gemc and the version of reconstruction
as well as the values of reconstruction parameters (e.g. minimum number
of hits to define a valid cluster, etc.).

GEOMETRY PACKAGE:
Jeremy (?) is working with Gagik to make the geometry package
easier to use.

ced:
Dave reported recent progress with ced. He started by noting
that we should have a celebratory cake in honor of the fact
that 4 applications are using a common geometry !!
ced can now display many more facts about the (simulated) data;
basically the contents of the gemc evio file. Veronique
showed a number of ced figures of fitted tracks which she is
using to debug the tracking code.

TRACKING STATUS:
Veronique showed a number of plots documenting the performance
of the present tracking code which is not yet a true fit, but
just a calculation of the incoming angle and momentum from
knowledge of the position and angle of the different region
'crosses' and a numerical integragion of B X dl along the
trajectory.
She showed a plot of the cross x-position compared to the
true value. They were approximately gaussian in shape.
Volker asked why in Region 1 for example, the sigma was about
1mm when the resolution on an individual wire was 300 microns.
It is possible that the distribution is broadened by using
a perfect, 'swum' trajectory as the truth information rather
than the actual position of the gemc track.

EVENT BUILDING:
Gagik is making progress on the first step of event-building:
matching DC tracks with TOF hits.

 			that's all I have, Mac
