[Clas12_software] Software meeting minutes, Jan. 29, 2015

[Mac Mestayer]

The meeting today was devoted to getting ready for the
software review.

SCALING TESTS: Sebastian Mancilla
- approximate scaling was shown with 32 cores; considering
the size of the Jlab farm, we think we can keep up the expected
DAQ rate of 20 kHz (200 Mb/s) using about 25% of the farm.
Most of the time is used in swimming, so we may be able to
speed up reconstruction with larger step sizes, for example.

EVENT GENERATORS: Harut
- he has generated p pi+ pi- final states which we are running
through reconstruction to show the quality of reconstruction

VALIDATION PLOTS: Andrey
- he is working on validation/monitoring plots

COMMON TOOLS TALK: Gagik
- he went over his talk on all of our common tools: I/O, geometry,
plotting, etc.

OVERVIEW TALK: Veronique
- she went over her plots on the status of the software and plans
for the future

Discussion ensued regarding making the talks better.
