[Clas12_software] CLAS12 Software - First release.

Dear Colleagues,

The CLAS12 Software team has achieved a major milestone: The first 
release of the CLAS12 offline software. Excellent team work, 
congratulations to all who contributed.
In collaboration with the CalCom and Software group leaders we developed 
detailed validation tasks for the CLAS12 software. We also formed a task 
force to carry out these studies. The details are included in the 
attached document.
While the focus is on understanding the reconstruction, we will test and 
validate the entire software packages and provide feed-back to the 
software and commissioning groups.

Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions on the 
document, or if you or anyone from your group would like to join this 
effort.

We will have a special meeting tomorrow at 2:00 pm in F224 to discuss 
the goals and timeline of this project.
