Dear All,

Clara-v4.3.7 is released. You can find a summary of release notes at
https://claraweb.jlab.org/clara/docs/clas/release-notes.html
The main reason of this release is to separate user data from the installation, thus helping Clara administrators to
present common/official CLAS12 software installation, that can be shared by multiple users and preserve user data from future software upgrades.
This version includes CLAS12 IO service engines that are compiled agains the new HIPO-4 libraries. So, this might not be compatible with HIPO-3 decoded data sets.

Also, claraweb.jlab.org<http://claraweb.jlab.org> has been reorganized (please refresh your browsers), and includes a tutorial section that can be helpful for users to learn inner-workings of the framework.
This page is under construction and will include more hands-on activities as we go along (comments and suggestions are welcome). The tutorial can be accessed at:
https://claraweb.jlab.org/clara/docs/clas/hadson.html

Regards,
-vg

Hi Tony,

I just tried the installation method at the link below and it worked for me. Is that what you followed?

https://claraweb.jlab.org/clara/docs/clas/installation.html

Note, that's also linked from our new attempt at more centralized source for CLAS12 software documentation (on the "Distribution" tab):

https://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/CLAS12_Software_Center

On the other question, probably need to start with more info, e.g. software versions, configuration and sequence of commands you ran, where's the logs/data.

CLAS12 Software group:

Is there documentation describing how to setup CLARA for reconstruction.
In particular, where does one find the yaml files to put into the
subdirectory

CLARA/clara-cre/plugins/clas12/config

A default set does not come with the distribution.

I have lost the ability to reconstruct electrons using the "notsouseful"
script. Although pions are reconstructed well, the electron momentum and
phi angle are not.
