Dear Colleagues,
The latest ced release is 1.4.55, which you can download here<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__nam03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com_-3Furl-3Dhttps-3A-252F-252Fuserweb.jlab.org-252F-7Eheddle-252Fced-252Fbuilds-252Fced.1.4.55.tar.gz-26data-3D02-257C01-257Cskuhn-2540odu.edu-257C9de591f7445549f8110d08d8274ccf76-257C48bf86e811a24b8a8cb368d8be2227f3-257C0-257C0-257C637302558141882104-26sdata-3DeqAjJ1VBfBy6p23Keho68tCMOUHKy-252B10vcOUUBHjfWs-253D-26reserved-3D0&d=DwIFAg&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=ksXCggyx2kGqTeH2KpG4S8jBYrhOvwbmrrV7D_DqVTw&m=B-9H662RozrS4KIafAQpN8rBI46yp6hvuMaZ1PA_MVU&s=cnYQehNaZCRYWkbH5Q-Gy_rY6i9K9LHJCYs1GudpsKI&e= >.
This includes:
1) Better algorithms for going to event by the "true" event number, i.e. the number in RUN::config
It is easy for evio files, because they are (I am assuming) in order. For hipo files the first time you try to go to an event by "true" number it will create a map of index (sequential event number) and true event number, by running through the event file just as quickly as it can. It just does that once per file, and only if it needs to, and after that going to a true event number is faster.
2) For using the regular track finding to debug the AI track finding, or the AI track finding to debug the regular track finding, or either of them to debug ced, or all three to disagree among themselves and also with GEMC, it now optionally displays the hits, segments, crosses, and tracks by both the "regular" and "AI" methods.
3) It uses a ring buffer of up to 10 previous events. "Previous Event" no longer means the event just before the current event in the event file, it means the previous event that you looked at, up to 10 back, then it, perhaps like the universe in general, returns on itself.
Cheers,
David
