<p class="MsoNormal">You can checkout an early version of ced for 12

GeV. For now

it has only a simple version of the “All DC” view. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">To checkout:<o:p> </o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Create a directory, for example “ced12”. CD to

that

directory and issue the svn checkout command:</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">You should get a <tt>bin </tt>directory, a <tt>data

</tt>directory, a <tt>ced.bat</tt>

file for launching on windows and a <tt>ced.sh</tt> shell script for

launching on unix

(and hopefully macs.)</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p>There is nothing to build (it's JAVA

baby)—just try the appropriate launch

script. There is a sample data file in the data directory. The file has

10,000 events but only the first 100 are good.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal">Please report any problems, such as “failure to

launch.” I expect the unix launch script will require tweaking.<br>

</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>You do need java 1.6. </b>On unix it will hunt

around a bit for

java 1.6, but if it doesn’t find it will fail.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p>Improvements to the initial view will

come quickly and

additional views will come as geometry is available. All you will have

to do is

issue an <tt>svn update</tt> command in the directory where you

installed everything.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">NOTE: it displays files in evio format not BOS. As

far as I

know the only source for such data is GEMC.<br>
