<div dir="ltr">There is a new version of <i>ced</i>, version 8.4. Sorry, no, that is not right, <a href="https://userweb.jlab.org/~heddle/ced/builds/ced.1.003.tar.gz">it is version 1.003. </a><div><br></div><div><b>What's new?</b></div><div><br></div><div>1) The download is smaller. That is either because we've removed so many bugs the code is lighter, or because it only contains one copy of the torus map instead of 14 copies. I'm not sure which.</div><div><br></div><div>2) There is a new menu item under the File menu called "Restore View Configuration." This puts the views back in their default locations. The need for this arose when someone saved the view configuration after moving several of the views to Nebraska, so the next time they ran <i>ced</i> they couldn't find the views. </div><div><br></div><div>3) The default ET connection parameters were changed to match the new default DAQ parameters (du jour.)</div><div><br></div><div>4) There is a new menu item under "Field" to make plots of the magnetic field.</div><div><br></div><div>5) The integral BxdL plots (by right clicking on a trajectory) were restored. I'm not sure in what previous version they were lost, but they, Rasputin-like, are again alive.</div><div><br></div><div>6) The biggest enhancement is to the accumulation engine and display. The engine is faster. The display has been changed to better highlight the differences in occupancy. What we did before was... well let's not discuss that. The new version also has a control slider that changes the color location of the median occupancy. It looks really cool when you slide it. (Assuming you've accumulated some data. If not, the slider is really boring, though somewhat therapeutic.)</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><img src="?ui=2&ik=6c088d985a&view=att&th=162da490ec5538d3&attid=0.1&disp=safe&realattid=ii_jg5i9hdh0_162da490ec5538d3&zw" width="412" height="234"><br><br clear="all"><div><br></div>-- <br><div class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><i>David P.
