<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;" class="">Dear All,<div class=""><br class=""><div class="">Clara version 4.3.3 is released and is currently a default version for the Clas12 software new installations.</div><div class="">In this version we are introducing a thread affinity (JLAB farm hardware specific), i.e. the framework will configure hardware optimized data processing application automatically.</div><div class=""><div class=""><div class="">Version 4.3.3 was tested on the JLAB farm using auger-pbs, and currently in a process of testing on the new auger-slurp system.</div><div class="">The framework tests were performed using Clas12 5c.6.4 plugin version (<span style="color: rgb(131, 60, 11); font-size: 9pt;" class="">Data file =
clas_004013.0.hipo</span>) and were obtained the following performance results (Note: in this mode we are utilizing all the resources of a node):</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">farm16 nodes - 12.03 ms/event </div><div class="">farm18 nodes - 9.59 ms/event</div><div class=""><div class=""><br class="webkit-block-placeholder"></div><div class="">So, no more guessing the number of cores and associated memory settings. The Clara’s JLAB data-processing auto-configuration option will guarantee an optimized performance and efficient utilization of the farm resources. In this case the only requirement is to set the farm.exclusive, fileList and description options (note: fileList and description must be unique for every farm job submission).
