<div dir="ltr"><div>Dear Colleagues,</div><div><br></div>There is a new release of <i>ced</i>, v 1.006. <div><br></div><div><a href="https://userweb.jlab.org/~heddle/ced/builds/ced.1.006.tar.gz">This is the download link.</a></div><div><br></div><div>In addition to bug fixes (and new bugs), it has:<br></div><div><br></div><div>1) Better display of CND data (see below)</div><div><br></div><div>2) Due to the Flatness Chauvinism of some CLAS developers who shall remain nameless, the 3D views are now off by default. They can be turned on by either the command line argument <b>USE3D</b> or the alternative but equivalent (and easier to remember) command line argument <b>TAKETHATGAGIKANDVERONIQUE</b>. </div><div><br></div><div>3D is now turned off by default because while the 3D works splendiferously on 91% of the computers in the world, on some computers running an operating system written by odiferous pajama-clad 45 year olds living in their parents' basement (and which goes by the ridiculous name "linux") the 3D views don't always work . And by "don't always" we sort of mean "almost never."<br></div><div><div><div><br></div><div>To facilitate this, we have provided the bash script <font face="monospace, monospace">ced3d.sh</font> so "bashing" it, i.e.,</div><div><br></div><div><font face="monospace, monospace">$bash ced3d.sh</font></div><div><br></div><div>Should give you <i>ced</i> with the 3D views. </div><div><br></div><div>If you launch by double-clicking the jar, the way cool people launch <i>ced</i>, you are stuck with the default of no 3D views.</div><div><br></div><div>Now as promised, improved CND data display:</div><div><br></div><div><div><img src="cid:ii_jo6dcxn70" alt="image.png" width="360" height="258"><br></div></div><div><br></div><div>The numbers are the sectors The colors are indicative of the adc value. The cross indicates that there was a tdc. Sometimes, as you see, there is an adc and no tdc. And sometimes (not shown, but trust me on this) there is a tdc and no adc. </div><div><br></div><div>This is all under the category of bug fix because for CND the previous versions <i>ced</i> was... I actually don't know what the hell it was doing! I must have implemented the CND display after consuming a bad plate of linguini. Sorry for the inconvenience. Also--the mouse-over feedback has be beefed up for CND.</div><div><br></div><div>Oh, and CND now works in accumulated mode as well. I'd send a picture but because this mailing list is configured as if it were for a bbs in 1995, two pictures almost always cause my posts to go into moderation. I am in fact nervous about just the one pic.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>cheers,</div><div>dph</div>-- <br><div dir="ltr" class="m_1042664409891102766m_-8954837382880315041gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><div><div dir="ltr"><i>David P.
