Hello Everyone,
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">There is a proposal to do a cleanup of the main CLAS12 coatjava git repository,. This has been on the backburner for a while, waiting on pass2 to be out the door.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Details are in the slides shown in this week's software meeting: <a href="https://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/images/c/ce/Baltzell-soft-20230126.pdf" class="">https://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/images/c/ce/Baltzell-soft-20230126.pdf</a></div>

<div class="">The most critical thing for people to be aware of is that forks and local copies of the current repository will become unmergeable. Outstanding commits on those will require manual intervention after the switchover, so you will want to get those
into the main repository beforehand.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Nothing is set in stone yet, but I think we want to try to do the switchover next month, in a few weeks, late February. Please respond with any feedback, questions, gripes.</div>
