[Clas12_verystrange] Event generator comments and questions

Hi,

The code that Derek sent me was missing some files and because of the time
difference between Derek and I, I decided to code the virtual photon
distribution as show in the note that Carlos sent.

The distributions I obtain look very similar to what Carlo has in his note. If
interested, I have some plots on the web showing the virtual
photon distribution:

http://www.jlab.org/Hall-B/secure/clas12/omegaMinus/ASU/QsqVsNu.gif
-> Q^2 versus e1-e2

http://www.jlab.org/Hall-B/secure/clas12/omegaMinus/ASU/Qsq.gif
-> Counts versus Q^2

http://www.jlab.org/Hall-B/secure/clas12/omegaMinus/ASU/nu.gif
-> e1-e2

where e1 = initial electron energy, and e2 = scattered electron energy.

If there is any reason I should use Derek's code for the virtual photon
distribution instead of what is currently in place, please let me know.

vsGen now includes cross section weights for the gamma p -> p X reaction, where
the weights are equal to the total cross section. I also have total cross
section weights for the ground state cascades. The code that generates cascade
cross sections were given to me by Kanzo Nakayama.

Questions:
* Does anyone know where I can get estimated cross sections for the higher mass
cascades?

* Is there estimates for the Omega- cross section?

* I remember from the meeting that I should generate 1/eGamma dependence for
real photons, and that I need to check in the code to the svn repository. Is
there anything else I should do?

I expect that some time next week I will start becoming busy with another
project and I want to get as much done to the generator as I can before I have
to concentrate my efforts on other things.

Thanks for your time.

Take care,
Michael
