<p>Derek has produced a very nice package for this purpose. I've been using it for several weeks to look at the clas12 data from the KPP run and it works well. One comment: you need ROOT version 6 to do this.</p>

Thanks for the information. I a going to look into the hipo2root code.<br>

Sounds like one could slightly modified hipo2root to skim hipo files for<br>
the creation root trees and histograms. That is exactly the sort of thing<br>
I want.<br>
