Hi All,<br>
<br>
Do we have anything showing the proposed cable tray locations for the
detectors? The DC signal and HV cable
lengths are fixed, so we need to make sure the locations will work with
those lengths.
What is the exact distance, well +\- 10% is likely OK, that these
cables need to go from the rack location to reach the detectors? If we
choose rack locations without knowing the path length, the cables may
not work.<br>
<br>
Thank you, <br>

Now that this is done, here is the harder part.
<br>
<br>
At todays TDG meeting we had some discussion about rack locations for
12GeV. We need to get started on this issue and firstly need to resolve
the location for the two new super conducting magnet rack sets. In
total we need 3 racks worth of space for each magnet for the vendors
equipment and we also need up to one full rack for each for our part of
the controls. The Dump resistors must be installed near the power
supplies.
<br>
<br>
I guess I need to know from each detector physicist the location and
number of racks needed for each system. Also if you have a plan for
removing un-needed racks that are already installed or emptying the
equipment from them.
<br>
<br>
Attached are 4 pictures that show each level of the space frame at
present we have shown only 3 racks on the subway level, but we could
probably add 2 more on the north side.
<br>
<br>
On level 2 for some reason the racks on the south side for the
cryotarget have not been modeled, but those need to stay so it is not a
big deal now.
<br>
<br>
Levels 1 and 3 are pretty clear and should be clear to all of you.
<br>
<br>
I hope we can get lots of info before this meeting. Please help!
<br>
<br>
<br>
Thanks
<br>
Dave
