The 2011 National Nuclear Physics Summer School (NNPSS) will be hosted
by the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory and held on the campus
of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The two-week long
school will run from 20 June through 1 July 2011. The School is
sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the Triangle Universities
Nuclear Laboratory, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
and the US Department of Energy's Institute for Nuclear Theory.

The lectures and activities at the School will cover topics at the
frontier of nuclear physics research including: hot and dense nuclear
matter, hadron structure, the physics of nuclei and nuclear
astrophysics, neutrino physics and tests of fundamental symmetries.
Graduate students and postdocs who are within about two years of
receiving their PhD degree are encouraged to attend the School. The
School will give young physicists opportunities to interact with and
learn from leaders in the field and their peers.

The NNPSS will cover local expenses, including accommodations
(dormitory room), meals, and some events including a reception and
banquet.

Applications will be accepted until 18 March 2011. Invitations
will be sent to successful applicants by 31 March 2011. Details are
given on the 2011 NNPSS website at http://www.tunl.duke.edu/nnpss/
