Hi Mac,

Thank you for reading the abstract.
Regarding your question, the chiral dynamics
result has been calculated assuming s-wave
meson-baryon interactions, and this fixes
the form of the interaction that generates
the Lambda(1405). Therefore if the spin-parity
were not 1/2-, then this would invalidate
a crucial assumption in the calculation result.
However, since the experimental result shows that
1/2- is the case, there is no contradiction.

The dynamical resonance calculation is a result about
the "dynamics" that generate the resonance, and are
manifested in the lineshapes (=Sigma pi spectrum),
strength of polarization, etc. of the resonance,
i.e., the properties that are specific to that resonance.

On the other hand, the spin-parity is a "kinematics"
attribute that does not predict any parameters for
the resonance, but simply define the basis for which
all dynamical theories for that resonance must obey
(i.e., for the Lambda(1405) that the decay distribution
must be flat for Sigma pi, and how the polarization is
transferred to the Sigma etc.).

Regards,

	Kei
